Mahua Waterfall, Tambunan, Sabah Malaysia

Mahua Waterfall, Tambunan Sabah, Malaysia

We departed from Tenom (Sabah Agriculture Park - Previous Post) and decided to stop by Mahua Waterfall situated in Tambunan district. It took around 45 - 60 minutes drive (57 KM) from Keningau. If you would like to visit this place but do not know how to get there, try Google Map

This is how the entrance looks like and you will have to walk around 500 meters to get to the waterfall site, Along the way you will encounter animals like birds and insects, and canopy trees. They also made a few stations equipped with toilet, shower room and dustbin for your convenience.

This is a very cool place for family recreation or even for self relaxation as the scenery is outstanding and calm. The water is freaking cold though.

We only stayed here for 40 minutes and we continue our journey to Kundasang, Ranau where we already booked our hotel at Zen Garden. We reached Kundasang around 4.30pm, checked in and rest. Our journey on the next day will be visiting the Mamut Mine, Ranau and Mesilau, Kundasang.
